Personal Representative

Very friendly, relaxed, and professional. Many law offices feel "stuffy" and intimidating. Heidi was very welcoming and willing to explain everything in detail using laymens terms.

Heidi is the best !! After the birth of my daughter, all my priorities changed, of course, and she helped me through all the new "adulting" I needed to do! She made it super easy to talk about some difficult subjects and I never once felt uncomfortable. We actually shared a few laughs and I'm appreciative of that. We went through everything from advanced directives, trust planning, and wishes I had for my family in any event that I would be unable to care for them. Like I said, it's some tough stuff to face for some of us, but I am so appreciative for her services . The peace of mind I have now is priceless ! Thank you Heidi !!

initial meeting with an Estate Planning Attorney

What should I bring with me for my initial meeting with an Estate Planning Attorney?

The initial meeting with an Estate Planning attorney will most likely be informative for YOU and a precursor to your providing information to the attorney, however, there are a few things you should be prepared to talk about so that your attorney can answer questions and provide information tailored to your specific situation.

Specifically, you should consider/bring the following:

Goals

You should consider what your priorities and goals are, if you are married or have a partner —it’s good for the two of you to jointly consider what your goals are.

Assets

You need to be able to discuss your financial situation —my clients sometimes come with an asset listing and I find that very helpful to give us a launching point.

Prior Estate Planning

This should be number one but I saved it for last because folks remember best the last thing you tell them ☺ Make sure you bring copies of all your existing estate planning —even if you don’t think it’s relevant.
