Personal Representative

Our entire experience creating necessary estate documents through Heidi was only positive. She and Molly were extremely prompt with communication and her services were reasonably priced. She took the time to always thoroughly explain everything and answer my MANY questions always with a smile and the desire to make sure we were confident in how we worded things for our documents. She was happy to make changes to fit our needs and was even available to give advice regarding how to best handle my late father in law’s affairs. We really appreciate knowing that Heidi has our best interest in mind and that we have a relationship with an attorney whom we wholeheartedly trust. I’m not easy to win over in professional relationships, and I would fully recommend her to others.

In Heidi, I have found my Florida attorney. I live out of state but have a home in Florida which I wanted to turn over to my son, who does live in Florida, without running into tax issues. I was imagining all sorts of paper work, but Heidi made it all so simple for me and I was very satisfied with her knowledge and professionalism. What’s more, she is a very nice person and so easy to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending her and will certainly use her again if the need arises.

legal advice

Should I get legal advice before signing a contract?

Just signing a contract without reading and understanding it will surely lead you to a string of consequences. For this reason, I always recommend seeking legal advice if you are unsure about executing a contract, whether it be about the terms and conditions of the agreement or simply whether you are executing the document correctly.

Hiring an attorney to review a contract before execution will:

  • save you time and money in the long run;
  • help you to be prepared for the unexpected situations that might come up in the future;
  • prevent a problematic legal situation; and
  • inform you of the relevant laws and regulations

It is much easier to sort legal issues out at the beginning of your business instead of later when they can be more problematic and costly —or put another way it is cheaper to get advice and do it correctly than to fix a mistake.
