Personal Representative

I used Heidi Webb to update my Revocable Trust, Will, and LLC after the passing of my wife. I can not say enough good things of her service. She was very attentive to my needs during a difficult time and offered very good advise on how I should have things updated. She is very knowledgeable in this area of law. She always took the time to listen and make recommendations based on my needs. She even took the time to meet with my son who is the executor of my will to explain everything that he would be responsible for after my passing which was important to me and my son. She made me feel very comfortable whenever we met and explained everything in language that I would understand. I would be remiss in not stating that her staff is outstanding and always followed up with my calls. I would highly recommend her and staff for all of your legal needs.

Heidi handled the creation of our estate plan which includes a trust. In the consultation she explained all of our options and the cost involved with them. After a couple of more meetings with her we now have a completed estate plan we are very happy and comfortable with. Heidi and her team were easy to contact with questions along the way. We would highly recommend her for any estate planning needs.

probate lawyer

How can a probate lawyer help me after a loved one passes away?

In Florida, state law requires an attorney represent the estate in a Formal Probate but not all probates or estate administrations REQUIRE attorney involvement and yet a probate lawyer can offer valuable assistance in the process.

A probate lawyer may assist with:

  • Identifying and securing estate assets
  • Preparation of paperwork to collect proceeds from life insurance policies, POD accounts, and direct beneficiary assets
  • Obtaining appraisals for the decedent’s real property
  • Assisting in the negotiation and payment of bills and debts
  • Preparing and filing documents required by a probate court
  • Facilitating resolution of income tax issues by getting the needed information to a CPA
  • Managing the estate checking account
  • Transferring assets in the decedent’s name to the appropriate beneficiaries
  • Preparation of accountings
  • Making a final disbursement of assets to beneficiaries after all bills and taxes have been paid

Heidi S. Webb, Attorney at Law, serves clients all over the state of Florida with Estate Planning and Probate.  She has offices in Daytona Beach and Melbourne but can meet via phone or Zoom with clients statewide. Contact her today to schedule a free consultation.
